Spiritual Meaning of Seeing an Owl

I saw this owl today, by daylight, comfortably perched on a tree branch at our building complex. It could represent knowledge coming to light after being hidden away. Many cultures believe that if you hear or see an owl in the daytime (suddenly, by coincidence and not in a zoo!) it will bring great fortune with it; some even go so far as to say it wards off evil spirits! It is said that it is also a sign from the universe. Not only is the universe guiding me as the person who saw the owl, but it also wants me to be happy. I wish you all to have the same experience. This one was "looking straight at me, kid"Owl.jpg

This photo reminds me of the emotions I feel when seeing images of the Tawney Frogmouth! I have never heard of this spiritual connection before .... but ever since I was a young child whenever I saw pictures of this majestic bird, a strong connection of its regality would envelop me! By coincidence it has only been in the last month that I purchased my very own "Metal Bird" version of the Tawny Frogmouth for my garden! Now I can appreciate where my "connection" comes from .... Thank You Tamaya! One day...hopefully I may yet see a "real" one, but in the meantime my metal version is certainly giving me a great sense of peace and happiness!

@Knackers ...Hello. It was out of mere curiosity - I googled what it means to see an owl during the day (and awake looking at me) and there were various "meaningful" explanations, which kind of intrigued me! In fact the day after I saw the owl, I received an unexpected (email) surprise which will make my life a little easier (no, it was not a tattslotto win, but very much in that direction!). By the way, about your Tawny Frogmouth "metal bird": if you look up (google) the Chinese Horoscope you will find explanation about the 12 animals and each is again subdivided in: fire, water, earth and metal. The year of 2023 is the year of the "Water Rabbitt" representing sensitivity, dedication, instinctive knowledge and lucidity. A lucky and prosperous year for many. The owl is not one of the twelve animals (unfortunately) but may be you are a "metal" animal. Just google Chinese Horoscope and insert your birth year.

Hi Tamaya. Apologies for not responding to your reply back on the 23 July to my 15 July post! Unfortunately I did not see it... my bad.... not very proficient at "social media"! However, this new post today from Tristin has renewed the original thread in a VERY IRONIC...even "creepy" way! Last night I went out into my front garden [11.00 pm ish] and for the VERY FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE there was a very large owl sitting on my front yard power line! Looked to be light or maybe white in color. I went inside to get a camera, but the possibly "Powerful Owl" had moved on! To see this calm ,majestic owl in my front yard- even in the dark!- was very surreal to say the least! All the best to you.

Indeed I was wondering if I was going to hear from you. Better late than never. At least in the meantime you had the wonderful opportunity of seeing an owl as well. They are such beautiful birds and yes, majestic as you said. Best wishes to you too !
