SPEEDING CAR

A man gets pulled over for speeding!!!
As the cop approaches the car, the man asks if he can get out of the car
and the cop says OK. He then asks the man why he was speeding.
The man says, "You see the woman sitting in the passenger side, front seat?
That's my wife. You see the woman sitting in the back seat?
That's my mother-in-law, and she has been living with us for 3 months now
and this morning they had a big fight. Now my mother-in-law insisted
we take her home. I'm trying to get her there as quickly as possible before they make up,
and she wants to come back home with us!!!"
The cop looks at the man and says, "Get back in your car and I will
give you a police escort with lights and siren and we will get her home!!!"

An American in Ireland goes to one of Irelands great golf courses looking for a game asks the pro who’s the best golfer you have I only want the best the pro points to paddy standing nearby the yank goes to paddy and challenges him to a game paddy accepts the yank says 9.0 tomorrow morning paddy says ok but I might be 1/2 hour late the next day paddy thrashes the yank who’s not happy he again challenges paddy who accepts same time yes says paddy but i might be 1/2 hour late ok says the yank next day paddy turn up on time playing left handed and thrashers the yank again the yank asks why he play’s so good playing right or left handed well says paddy if i wake up in the morning and my wife’s sleeping on her right I play right handed if she’s on her left i play left handed the yank says what if she’s on her back paddy replies I’ll be 1/2 late

Generally I like some of your publication.
But I found this joke today about the "mother-in-law" very sexist towards women and maybe it would have been acceptable to some in the 50s.
Please do not stereotype older people. Do informed older people assist in the writing for the site?
There are some very good articles too.
Kind regards

Try adding punctuation next time so that the "joke" makes sense!

Dear Colleen "The world keeps revolving as it should!" What is offensive to some? Is helarious to others! Australia is supposed to be the world of free speech! But unfortunately the Woke Police are stifling it! I know because I was sacked, for telling a joke that 40 years ago was OK to tell. If offended, then be offended and move on. Regards Phil

They could have just said to you "that is inappropriate, next time there will be consequences" or something. No need to sack you over a joke.
Yes, 40 years ago we got away with saying a lot of things we probably shouldn't have. Still, there needs to be a bit of leniency in these things.

Colleen, I am 87 years old and I'd say almost all jokes ever written are racist or demeaning to somebody somewhere, but if you find one funny laugh, if not just ignore.
