So when we came across this story of a single mum who scored a massive haul at Kmart and Bonds for her daughter, we knew we just had to share it with you guys!

One savvy mum from Victoria has taken to Facebook to share photos of her amazing bargain haul from Kmart and Bonds.

“Decided to go bargain hunting since I had a few vouchers from Christmas and a few from my social worker,” she wrote in her post, along with photos of her find – tops, skirts, even a few pairs of sneakers and sandals – all bought for her little girl.

The mum was able to score around fifty items during her shopping spree, enough to cover her daughter’s entire bed in the picture.

And what’s even more amazing is the amount of money she had saved from the bargain. “Out of pocket this only cost me $12.95, but the full price was $482.95,” she added. Just under $500 worth of items for only $13 bucks!? What. A. Bargain!!

She later revealed that everything on her cart was bought at a discount, thanks to Kmart’s seasonal clearances and the Bonds outlet’s 30 percent off promo.

“Only one item was full price and everything else was on clearance,” she said.

“My daughter will be happy when she gets home to find a brand new full wardrobe!”

The single mum shared that her daughter is on the autism spectrum and is currently obsessed with everything yellow and that has dinosaur prints.

“I am so excited for her to see it all! I was even able to get plenty of yellow and dinosaur outfits!”

Fellow members of the Facebook group congratulated the mum for her superb find and told her they were sure the little girl would love everything she brought home.

“Great job, bloody fantastic mum!” wrote one person, while another added: “Awesome score, I'm sure she will love it all.”

A third added: “Your daughter is lucky to have a mum like you and I'm sure she will love all her new clothes.”

One fellow mum even chimed in and said that she should have bought something for herself as well.

However, some negativity managed to make its way into the mum’s well-intentioned post. Some people criticised her by pointing out that her daughter’s mattress is too small for the bed frame.

The mum replied: “I just want to mention it because I know some people can be judgmental of parents, yes, her mattress is too small for her bed.”

Then she went on to share her story and her family’s current situation.

“I am unemployed and haven't been approved yet for Centrelink. We were given a king-sized single frame but only had a single mattress in storage from when I left my daughter’s dad recently due to domestic violence,” she continued.

“Since I left, my daughter was mostly living in hand-me-downs – I'm so glad I was able to get so much bang for my buck with this haul!”

After being touched by the mum’s story, many more members commented and expressed their support for the mum and her daughter.

“You do not need to explain anything to anyone – chin up doll, you are doing amazing,” one woman wrote.

“You sound like a wonderful, caring mum and that's what really counts,” another added, while a third said, “How fitting for your daughter to be wearing girl power tops when her mum is such a superwoman.”

After the wave of supportive messages, the Victorian mum responded by saying she appreciates the amount of encouragement and comfort she received from everyone.

“The people in the group have been amazing, they've really made me feel a lot better about having to get my daughter discount clothing and shoes,” she said.

“Someone in the group mentioned that I should have gotten myself something, but I am happy to go without as long as my daughter has what she needs.”

Well done Mum, great admiration for you. I love bargains and your little girl would have been thrilled and some people are talking about the mattress without knowing the reason for it. So many people look for negatives in everything I’m sure. Mean spirited.
