It all comes down to how you prepare it. People that are advised to eat raw mostly is a cultural thingUsed to like it until fed it raw. Haven't eaten any offal ever since.
This was in a Hospital? Although I have cooked plenty since, whenever it was on the scoff card I always cooked it to order. It all comes down to how you prepare it. People that are advised to eat raw mostly is a cultural thing
I can understand how you feel
This the liver I like. As you say gravy best next day.A couple of weeks ago I cooked up some lamb's fry & bacon to try and replicate how mum made it. It turned out very good and yummy thanks to the slower cooker. Of course, that gravy was better next day.
Generally I am a good cook however when it comes to lambs fry and bacon, I suck! Usually tough to eat. One of my favourite meals - luckily I have a great friend/neighbour who cooks the most beautiful LF & B and makes an extra serve that she drops off to me - enough for two meals. Gotta love this lady as she also makes a lamb roast that beats every one that I have tasted in my 72 years on this great planet. Old fashioned cook who still uses her Sunbeam dome lid electric frypan to make the roast.A couple of weeks ago I cooked up some lamb's fry & bacon to try and replicate how mum made it. I cook liver for hubby. I also cook chicken liver. I cook onion and mushrooms in a pan with butter and oil and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on medium heat., then I add sliced liver and cook 3 minutes then turn liver. Cook for another 3 minutes. Add juice of 1 lemon and cook until liver is doneGenerally I am a good cook however when it comes to lambs fry and bacon, I suck! Usually tough to eat.
