If you're worried about finding a sink large enough to clean your oven racks, don't sweat it – there’s a quick solution for that, too, as long as you flip the racks over in the grill tray to ensure all sides are fully submerged in the water.

It's a quick, easy, and affordable solution that will have your oven trays and racks looking like new in no time!

If you want to get the most out of your dishwashing tablets, the ALDI shopper recommends cutting them up and spreading the pieces over the tray to ensure an even clean. This works especially well for any stubborn stains, and she even uses this method to clean her oil fryer!

Not only is this method super affordable and effective, but it's also much less toxic than harsh oven cleaners, making it an eco-friendly choice.

So not only will your oven trays be sparkling clean, but you can also feel good about the cleaning process itself.

It's not just the original ALDI shopper who is a fan of this amazing cleaning method - fellow Facebook users have been singing its praises too! One user said they also use this method and even throw an old towel on top to make sure the water stays in contact with the trays.

Another user added that it works like a charm, while a third shared their own twist on the tip: they put the trays with water and dishwashing tablet in the oven after using it, let it cool down, and rinse them in the morning.

All you have to do is place an old towel down on the base of a large sink or bathtub, put the oven racks on top of the towel, cover them in hot water, and add one scoop of laundry powder.

Leave the mixture to soak overnight, and in the morning, the burnt-on mess should just flake off with a wipe, leaving you with shiny oven racks.

I have a fairly new (3-4 yrs old) Smeg oven. Anyone have any easy hacks to clean the back wall where the fan is?? Oven has so-called ‘self-clean’ cycle which does not really work. It’s not very dirty, just a few splashes but I’d like to get it nice and clean. Just two of us here so I use air-fryer for our small meals more often than having to heat up a bigger oven.
Thanks in advance for any responses you send.

Tried looking around, but all I could see were videos of its self-cleaning function :( maybe there's some sort of support service mentioned in the manual?

Thank you Jarred. While it was still under warranty I called their service dept here and was told to use the self-clean cycle. I said I’d done that without succes. Then I was told to try “grumptin”. Husband & I had a good laugh about what was supposed to be “Gumption” but even that product didn’t help - didn’t want to scour too hard for fear of scratching the surface. So now we hardly use the oven and it’s self-clean function & resort to our $49 Aldi air-fryer for ‘oven’ meals for the two of us.

Any more solutions are welcome.

So these are just the trays used in oven cooking or the actual oven racks? I don’t get this
Put the dishwasher tablets in the trays leave 20minutes then fill with hot water and put the racks on top of the trays???
My oven trays are 20cmx30xm the racks or twice that size
What am I missing here… would it work with the tablets in a laundry sink perhaps
I doubt my racks would magically clean after sitting g them over water with dishwasher tablets
