SHOPPING WITH A GRANDCHILD
A woman shopping in a large grocery store sees an elderly man pushing a small child in his trolley full of groceries. The kid inside is screaming and, throwing groceries out,
As the man gets closer to her, the woman hears him continually repeating, "Don’t worry Joshua, it will be all right," and "Try not to scream Joshua, nothing will go wrong," and then "Please keep calm Joshua, everything is fine."
When the man reaches the checkout, she says to him, "I really admire the way you are talking to your grandchild, mister. I’m a mother myself and I think you’re doing a marvelous job in trying to soothe your young grandson Joshua."
"Thank you, but I think you’ve misunderstood the situation," replies the man. "My name is Joshua...!"
