Shoppers can't get enough of this new dog vacuum now sold at ALDI

While ALDI might be the go-to supermarket for budget-conscious Aussies trying to stretch their dollar during these trying financial times, it's not just the reduced grocery bills that are delighting shoppers.

As we all know, imagination can run wild in their Special Buys section, known for offering items we never knew we needed—until ALDI put them on the shelf.

There is a product that has caught the attention of shoppers with its mix of amusement and intrigue. And no, it's not a late April Fool's joke, despite its initial quirkiness. Ladies and gentlemen, we present to you: a vacuum for pets!

Officially known as the Pet Grooming Vacuum, this innovative product has sparked a frenzy among Australian dog owners ever since it hit store shelves.

The concept behind this device is simple yet effective: it claims to suck up all that pesky loose fur directly from your furry friend. While traditional brushing can often result in a carpet covered in pet hair, this specialised dog vacuum aims to tackle the shedding issue right at its source.

The Pet Grooming Vacuum might sound a little crazy at first, but it has been creating quite a buzz online. When ALDI shared details about this new release on their Facebook page, the post quickly gained popularity, garnering over 3000 comments and going viral.

Upon reading through these comments, you'll notice that there isn't much mockery or disbelief. Instead, there is a palpable sense of excitement and anticipation from dog owners who see the value in having such a grooming tool.

Plenty of users tagged their family and friends, enthusiastically commenting: 'We need one,' and 'This looks fun!'

There was also some banter about the possible reactions their dogs might have. One user bemusedly commented, 'Imagine trying to get this close enough to any of our dogs,' while another added, 'My dog would never talk to me again if I came at him with this.'

This handy tool is priced at $129, which, as reported by the finance website Finder, represents a substantial portion of the average weekly household grocery budget in Australia, which falls between $148 and $161.

While purchasing this pet gadget could put a dent in your budget, it could also be a worthwhile investment for dog owners who yearn to rid their homes of pesky pet hair.

However, it is important to keep in mind that ALDI's Special Buys are limited editions. As you make your way to the dog vacuum, you may encounter various 'unessential essentials' in ALDI's middle section, tempting you to deviate from your original goal.

There is unexpected camping trip equipment that you will probably never use and 'bargain' skiwear for a ski trip you may be too thrifty to consider.

So when you venture into ALDI next time, aiming to save money and snag a great deal, we suggest having a plan in place. Be ready to resist these alluring distractions, or else you might leave with more than just a dog vacuum.

I might go have a peek at these. I have a very long haired cat who's fur drives one to distraction. As she is a house cat I've seriously thought of shaving her coat off and knitting her a nice wee jumper or some preemie baby suits as folks I know have done lol But it would be far easier to incorporate the animal vacum into her regular grooming sessions. Food for thought.

I have two little tibbies ,(tibetan spaniels) and dog hair is the bane of my life.
Will be off to Aldi in a flash and hope they still have one.
Don't think it will worry them, they are used to the dryer that the doggy wash lady uses and it is quite loud.
Think it will be worth the investment

Our three King Charles Cavaliers don't like the vacuum so this one is a no go.

I think you're going to find the only difference with this vacuum for dogs is the cleaning head which is designed to not create a tight seal on the fluffy friends skin and is gently on our pets, you can use a normal vacuum keeping it on a low setting and not close to the dogs skin or ears.

BARBARIC!!!!! That would have to hurt the dog, let alone freaking scare the crap out of them!!! There'll end up being a lot of dogs who hate those things and the noise. And a lot of them with anxiety.

With two breed dogs German Sheperd and Dobermann plus a rescue "puddy tat" 8 years old.
All five of us are great friends, that's {SHE who must be OBEYED and ME to make up the 5.}
Bentley and Belinda would ripe me apart if I approached them with a noisy vacuum.
Bentley sheds hair like any medium hair dog, Belinda is more the lady and drops only a little,
Minny so named because she has a perfect Y in white fur on her RH side, and being a medium hair
moggy sheds like a woolly mammoth, Minny runs under the corner coffee table when I vacuum on Saturday.
Bentley attacks the vacuum head with gusto that he is banished outside, then Belinda takes over.
No, I will not recommend anyone buying this item.
You have pets, your choice I think you have to live with that, if it takes an extra hour to clean the carpets,
REMEMBER IT WAS YOUR CHOICE!!

And maybe lose a toe or finger???(n):(

No my dog isn’t used to any grooming drier either. He would hate the noise, couldn’t do it to him. I don’t mind all the vacuuming but I hate the dog hair on my black clothes. Would never part with my little Jack Russell though.
