She continued, ‘You’ve got to put everything on the conveyor belt, then pack it all up and pay, with a line of people impatiently waiting behind you. With these, I can simply pop them in the trolley and breeze through checkout. Kmart, you're a lifesaver!'

The video quickly gained attention, and other Kmart fans shared their comments.

One said, ‘All you need are these four bags! They hold so much. I love them. Got rid of all my other reusable bags.’

Aldi have had those same bags for years. We looked at them. They are so big we did not want them & they do not close. We prefer the zipped ones. when we shop at Aldi I use our own foldable basket. I leave it in the trolley & can quickly place my items in it plus a separate cooler bag for fridge goods. So easy to use. No holding anyone up!

I had similar to these when I did my shopping in the UK forty years ago. They were great but as someone stated, a bit heavy with a big shop. I have a stack of fold up nylon bags with me all the time. They take up no room, are light, hold heaps and can be thrown in the washing machine when a bit grubby. They last for ages, I’ve literally had them for years

I was gifted the Aldi ones, but as I can't lift weights they took up too much room and I still had to use the zip bags. The Aldi had red for meat, green for veg, and blue guess for fridge and a yellow one. They do vary in size. But when I went to Aldi the first time I was told off putting them into the bags, I had to throw them into the trolley and then sort. Hate double handling, so don't shop Aldi.

I have two bags that I bought from Woolies when this trouble about plastic bags started years ago. They get used at least once a week and are still going strong. I have no idea what they are made from but they do have a plastic covering and are a reasonable size. I think they cost 15c at the time. They have a Woolies emblem on them and I bought them at the local Woolies in Gunnedah and have been here for 6 years, so you work it out. Even at $1 price now they would still be cheap.

I'm going to give these a try! Transferring shopping from the trolley onto the checkout belt, then back into the trolley, then to the shopping bags in the car, takes time and energy. These bags could mean less handling of items, and save time!

This idea was launched a long time ago but at the time they were horrendously expensive not like the $15.00 ones from K-Mart. That is a good price! As I don't lift the bags out of the car when I shop it really won't matter how much my carer packs in them. He transports them & me back from the shops as I am very unsteady on my feet at the best of times & more so after a shopping trip. I might see if I can find them in my K-Mart on Thursday.

these are not new. i have had one since 2010 bought in christchurch nz.

and you did what they said.? i would have just ignored that person or reported it.

I’ve said it before - take your own reusable Coles/Woolies/other bags. Or even invest (once only) in a couple of plastic tubs and keep them stacked into one another in your boot if you have a station wagon or similar. Wheel your trolley to your car and load up. If you can, then at home get family, carers, children, grandchildren or DIY taking items to your pantry if you live in a ground level home. Best solution TAKE YOUR OWN BAGS; we’ve seen this coming for sometime now so there’s little excuse for not having bought your reusable bags by now. We buy underwear when needed (& they cost more) so why not invest in reusable bags?
