Shocking truths from a cleaner: Unbelievable items found in Aussie rental homes

Have you ever thought about what rental homes look like when bad tenants leave them?

For many of us, we’d expect a certain level of cleanliness, but unfortunately, that’s not always the case.

Have you ever left a rental or had one of your own rentals left in an absolute mess? Image source: Shutterstock.

Care Cleaning Services founder Charlotte Bosanquet, a young cleaner from Sydney, revealed the putrid state some Aussie renters leave their homes in when their lease is up and it’s worse than you can imagine.

Unfortunately, in this specific scenario, Miss Bosanquet was called in to clean a brand-new rental, but the thoughtless tenants left it in an absolutely horrific state.

In a video shared on Sunday, Charlotte walked through the property revealing — piles of rubbish, leftover toys, clothes, a dirty toilet, clumped-up hair, and mouldy plates of food, all around the rental.

Despite the mess, Charlotte and her team continued to tackle the task with amazing professionalism and dedication.

‘We will be focusing on clearing absolutely everything out of the property,’ Charlotte said in the clip on how she starts the cleaning process in situations like that.

She also said, ‘We decided to start upstairs and go room by room, so pretty much we just threw everything into a bag and took it down the stairs to the skip.’

The young cleaner also shared a surprising discovery—she found a pair of false teeth in the kitchen while cleaning.

Many social media users expressed shock at the deplorable state of the property. One person wrote, ‘No way this is normal circumstances, who would leave so much stuff behind? All those toys and clothes.’

Another commented, ‘I can't believe people can leave it like this, my house gets dirty and I get stressed.’

Meanwhile, other observers were impressed with how meticulous Charlotte’s team was and the fact that Charlotte earned $3,745 in one week for her business — that’s equivalent to $630 in one day for her 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. shift with her 8-person team.

Some people are just downright pigs. They have no consideration for the owners, the place they are living in and no thought on the people that have to clean the place. They can get all the stuff they left behind by crying poor and selling a sob story. It's quite rude really as there are really considerate tenants and some genuine people that really are doing it tough.
