Shocking state of local McDonald's has customers up in arms! See what they are furious about

The convenience and comfort of fast food restaurants like McDonald's is something which, let's be honest, we all take a bit of guilty pleasure in on occasion.

Be it to catch up with a mate, a quick tea with the grandkids or merely to satiate that random Big Mac craving that strikes out of nowhere on a rainy afternoon, these places have become an integral part of our modern lives.

But like every coin, there's a flip side to this story. Today's instalment is about a McDonald’s restaurant based in Melbourne that has taken social media by storm and, surprisingly, not for an exciting new menu addition or a charitable cause.

Instead, the restaurant has gone viral for a completely unexpected and unpleasant reason: it's become an eyesore.

A video has gone viral on social media showing McDonald's packaging, containers, beverages, and other trash scattered throughout the restaurant, accumulating on multiple tables and spreading all over the ground.

But this time, it’s not the staff to blame. The recording further captures a drink being thrown in the direction of a group of four customers, leading to a spill on the ceramic floor.

Opinions surface online

‘What a f***ing mess, no respect for anyone or anything,’ one irate Aussie remarked.

The actions were labelled as ‘just feral’ and ‘disgusting’ by some, while there were those who voiced their empathy for the staff of the eatery.

Many locals from Melbourne noted that this is a typical scene on a ‘normal’ weekend evening at the Bourke Street McDonald's, pointing fingers at nightclub attendees for the chaos.

Previous employees of the chain also recounted facing such scenarios ‘time after time’.

Official response from McDonald's

In response to the infamous footage, a McDonald's representative shared their insights, indicating that what was depicted did not align with the brand's standards.

‘At McDonald's, we are committed to giving our customers a great experience every time they visit one of our restaurants,’ the representative told Yahoo News Australia.

‘McDonald's has a zero-tolerance policy for anti-social behaviour and expects our restaurants, people and customers to be treated with respect and decency at all times.’

‘We follow strict cleaning, sanitisation, and hygiene procedures in all restaurants, including routine dining room cleaning. We are working with the restaurant to ensure we continue to provide a safe and clean restaurant and a great customer experience.’
Key Takeaways

  • A Melbourne McDonald's has gained attention after a video showed late-night party-goers littering the premises.

No. These idiots are worse than
pigs, and they should not be
allowed to get away with such
disgusting behaviour. Six months
in prison might be appropriate
under the circumstances.

Holy sh%t!! when did a cyclone go through Maccas?
SOME people are just a bunch of pigs when they eat out just coz they don't have to clean the mess up. Some common decency would be to at least 'try' to keep your table clean and take your trash to the bin - the staff are not slaves who need to clean up a filthy fr%gging mess!
Besides that mess is disgusting who wants to sit anywhere near that and eat let alone have to clean it up.
Maybe Maccas need to put in a 'sty' for the pigs of society to use.

Do you really think that someone that makes (and leaves) a mess like that would clean up their own house? Disgusting they are and disgusting they’ll always be.

But did the notice that the bins were already overflowing?

Absolutely disgusting.
Post photos of faces on shop window and ban them.
Obviously police will have photos.
Name ‘em; shame ‘em in local media.

I would have to put some of the blame on management and staff. I would be pretty sure that if they emptied the bins this would have helped to reduce the pig sty but still no excuse for leaving the store the way it ended up.
