4 old men always met to walk their dogs along the local riverbank.
One day, Bill didn't turn up, not the next day or the next.
"He must be ill or died," the others decided.
after a month, Bill turned up.
"wher have you been?" One asked.
"Oh, I've been in prison." replied Bill.
"What for?"
"Well, you know mad mary? well she accused me of rape!" replied Bill.
When I got into court, the charge was read out and I was asked how did I plead.
Well, I'm 85 and suddenly felt proud to be able to be accused of rape. so I plead
'Guilty'. the Judge took one look at me and sent me down for 28 days for perjury!"
