Senior’s Thought 🎆

New Year's Eve would be so much better if it happened around 9pm.
🙂

Well consider yourself lucky that there is daylight saving in place otherwise you would have to wait another hour to dump 2024 :D

Mikev you’re a stayer aren’t you. I’d aim for 7:30 and then I’d possibly have to be prodded! Happy new year. I’ve enjoyed your jokes and bits thanks. ☺️

I have no problem as I want to make the most of my New Years Eve birthday.

Happy Birthday AND Happy New Year to you and Happy New Year to all on SDC.

We had to turn off ABC’s Sydney fireworks show well before midnight - two rather boring hosts and too tired to stay awake for midnight also. Same old, same old, as the saying goes in Australia.

We always go to the city for the fireworks but leave after the kids 8.30 bang! Can relate!

Luck so and so's! We do not get daylight saving in WA! Yes another woke and backward Labor state government! What a waste of day;light hours here in the Sunset state! Happy New Year to one and all in the Brother and Sisterhood of SDC 2025. Oxox

Same here in Queensland, had it years ago when Joe Blow was in power, now Katter says it will upset the cows, biggest bulshitter ever, winter time it gets darker earlier, does that affect the cows??

New Year is at 9pm for many of us 🤣

Well I have done it!! Had a "Naughty" that lasted for a full year. Started just before midnight Dec 31 2024 and finished in 2025!

But didn’t you guys have a referendum a few years back & the Liberals, who had been elected opted to abide by the no result? It’s the trading hours in Perth that really bug me while I’m here, supermarkets not opening until 11am on Sunday's & closing about 5, unbelievable! Daylight savings would be great over here but people I’ve spoken to are so against it. I love our long Tasmanian summer evenings. Very few decisions have anything to do with being woke as nobody seems to know what it actually means.

Hope you had a very happy birthday with many good friends and family around to help you celebrate.

That is why we say WA, means , wait awhile! So backward here in the West.

I've always thought tht was a very silly argument. What's wrong with milking at the usual time not what the clock says!!

At one time, at the very beginning of this ‘daylight saving’ argument/issue/debate it was even said ‘the curtains will fade’!!!! Anyone remember that rubbish?
