We’re all a little anxious about ageing. Our energy tanks shrink, our vision and hearing decline, and our bodies change significantly.
Most of us don’t feel as confident with our looks as we used to – because let’s face it – deep wrinkles, dentures, and stomach rolls don’t exactly get the same amount of praise as washboard abs, ‘perfect’ teeth, and blemish-free skin.
However, the world’s oldest supermodel has crushed stereotypes and proven that you can look your best at any age.

Still feeling comfortable in her own skin, the 91-year-old model was pictured posing underneath sheets in a nude snap that took the internet by storm.
Carmen Dell'Orefice was one of Vogue’s youngest models ever, gracing the publication’s pages at the young age of 15 in 1946. She has stolen the limelight since and recently stripped for ‘New You’ in a risqué photoshoot.
The model shared the cover with another star — Beverly Johnson, 69, who was Vogue’s first-ever black cover model in 1974.

Beverly said she was keen to work alongside ‘her idol’, gushing about Carmen in an interview.
‘She is “model goals”. She has been a mentor to me and doesn’t even know, and I have the utmost respect for this woman. I know all of her photographs. She has the biggest, most stunning body of work in fashion.’ she said.
So how does this gorgeous, senior model do it? When asked about how it felt modelling nude at her age, Carmen praised fashion photographer Fadil Berisha.
‘Working with acclaimed photographer Fadil, it’s their perception of what they see in you or me. We are there, a synergy starts to happen and they bring it out.’ she explained.
‘It’s where their mindset is. The photographer’s mindset is high, not in the gutter. It’s all projection. We’re all silent actresses and that’s what it’s about.’

Carmen also had some wise words to share about ageing gracefully, saying: ‘We’re not finished until the day we’re finished. You learn something from the day before, and you’re constantly changing yourself like the hands of a clock.’
‘Time is passing, but you can’t see the hands move. That is what’s happening to us daily and it’s how you handle and accept the change.’ she said.
Carmen’s picture was swarmed by comments from users who were amazed by her age-defying beauty.
‘Hold up. She’s 91 and she’s still looking fresh like she dipped in the fountain of youth?’ one person asked.
‘She has still got it and I hope I look great at that age. She makes us girls so very proud but most of all, in complete awe at her ageless beauty.’ added a second.
‘Aged so gracefully, omg!’ a third wrote, while a fourth asked: ‘What is her secret?’
