Too hot to think. My fridge has died overnight, maybe even some time yesterday, with a freshly refilled freezer. If it stopped humming I didn't notice. Spent the day cooking. Now I must find the energy to go buy milk. I'm thankful there was no Red in it. I sure need the Club today.

Good advice! Thank you for your kind thoughts. Today I battened down the hatches as per standing naval orders. All trees are trimmed, all tables stowed. Don't ask about my plans to go to Bribie Island on Thursday. Can I assume the FarNorth is also preparing for the worst? Cyclones are an annual event for you so you will already be well prepared . As of today the 70% club is the ONLY CLUB open on the Gold Coast! I've had emails all day annoucing they will be closed until next Monday at least . Yacht Club, United Services Club, Rotary Club, Surf clubs, even my Z car club rally!! It's gonna be REALLY tough!

And don't forget to have a bottle or two of the good stuff handy.....you may be out of action for a couple of days until the roads are clear of excess water.....ps make sure that your car is fueled right up. Cheers. also have a good torch and a strong portable battery powered lamp with extra batteries in case you lose power for some time.. Stay Calm always and stay SAFE.
