Could have sworn Hindi was more widely spoken than Mandarin. Chinese speakers were, I thought, diluted by Mandarin, Cantonese and then other dialects (Hokkien etc). I lived in Darwin for years and was always told Cicada's exited the ground when the ground temperature hit a specific temperature. Looks like I was misinformed. No idea about South Sudan (sorry to all the South Sudanese out there - just my ignorance, nothing else).
