Yeh I was correct Mickey has 3 fingers the forth is a thumb .

Question should have read how many digits.

If we asked how many fingers do humans have if you answered 5 you would be wrong

Each of Mickey's hands has only three fingers and a thumb. Disney said that this was both an artistic and financial decision, explaining, "Artistically five digits are too many for a mouse. His hand would look like a bunch of bananas.

I remember at pub trivia a question that came up was how many fingers is the average person born with.
Everyone laughed and most answered 10 including me.
This was of course wrong the answer was 8 fingers because the other two were thumbs.
My daughter reminded me this when I asked her the question
