Well you know I like checkingmy answers, so Question 1: this is what google said:
It is smaller than any other planet. Mercury is very close to the Sun and has no substantial atmosphere. These factors contribute to the fact that the surface of Mercury has the greatest temperature range of any planet or natural satellite in our solar system. So either A or D is correct - Yes?
Question 3: this is what google said:
Run you might think it's absurd (and maybe it is), but Oxford English Dictionary editors recently revealed that “run” has indeed become the single word with the most potential meanings in all of English, boasting no fewer than 645 different usage cases for the verb form alone.9 Nov 2022 - so that was nearlly 2 years ago - perhaps someone is using out of date info.

Mercury being closest to the sun would have been correct as well in my view.
