Sorry you are wrong, there has only ever been 4, as Stuart Sutcliffe was gone before they became The Beatles and yes, Pete Best was replaced by Richard Starkey, aka Ringo. Before that, they were the Silver Beetles.

They weren't called the Beatles when Stewart Sutcliffe was a member of the band they were called The Quarrymen.

Around the 16th August 1960 they became the original Beatles {with an A} with the line up as above.
