I was given wrong yesterday Re: Which painting was doe by Leonardo da Vinci? I answered "The Last Supper" but was told no it's "the Mona Lisa" (He painted both) And today i discover the lazy so and so didn't even finish the damn thing.
both yesterdays' was correct. The question did not include "most" as did the answer, thus SDC were the ones who were wrong. Question needs to match answer. Not finishing is still a common practice.

on searching, many contradicting reasons to as why Mona Lisa was not finished, and not one of those were in the list of answer options that I could find. The most common was due to his hand injury making it a claw at one point, which happened more than just with this painting. Also he died before it was given back to him complete after being shown to the commissioning person. Oil painters sometimes need weeks, months and even more than a year before they can add more layers. Those who didn't follow this had cracking occur on the surface as the bottom layers were so wet still.
