The mugs are only provided to those with a membership who are helping to keep the club viable.
How would providing mugs to non members help with running costs??? The mugs cost money, as does the postage.
They did say “buy” one of these mugs I would also like to “buy” one without becoming a member.Anyway I’d prefer a nice coloured one rather than boring old white.🐷

You don't want to become a member, but you want to buy a mug? Some people want everything and then you want a particular colour. How are you off for sox an underwear? Members value these mugs.

Yeah I know 😊
Perhaps they could have offered them to non members to buy if they wished.
I realise everyone is not in a position to pay for a membership. Every penny counts these days and I really don't know how those having to pay rent when on a pension manage to survive. It's a very sad state of affairs.

I find it a waste of money so I will not be renewing. I don't read the jokes, look up the jokes, the special price of things like Emma mattress is still out of price range for most people, fashion dupes are more for teens then seniors and the news articles are 1 or 2 days behind so no point in reading what we already know, copying articles from overseas is not relevant to us in Australia so no definitely not worth paying for the upgrade.

Don't know why you bother at all in that case.

I do find a few stories a bit recycled, and you still get some ads. I use to look forward to it but there are lot's things that dont interest me its great for others that are though. I don't know whether I will renew my subscription after it expires will be contemplating that

I just enjoy the newsletters that is why I joined and I would be sad to see it end. The annual payment is much less than a magazine subscription and more value for money 💰
It also helps that I won $1000 last month for being a member. Thankyou great job, keep it up

Dear Christine,

I wrote a few weeks ago when we were being asked to consider joining. We were informed that this would decrease the advertisements.

At the time I noted that I felt more people would likely join if the cost incurred rewarded them with advertisement-free content rather than advertisement-reduced content.

I've read this article today and have to agree with jron and Suzanne rose who both voiced a preference for subscribers to receive add-free content.

Kind Regards
Annna

I enjoy reading the articles & when appropriate add a comment. Comments from members are interesting at times or downright rude at other times & are skipped over. There appears to be many knowledgeable members here who are able to throw light on an otherwise difficult subject too. Receiving my daily dose of news articles, information, humour, games & quizzes via SDC has become an important part of my lifestyle.

I am grateful for those articles that give me an opportunity to share experiences with other members & receive advice. The saying, "A problem shared is a problem halved", certainly applies in those situations.

I think most of us can build a friendship with a member or members & may even converse with them directly forming a strong bond.

The small annual fee l pay for this pleasure is nothing compared to the pleasure received.
Please keep doing what you all do so well.
