SDC Petrol Widget: How To Save Money When You Fill Up
- Replies 1
Members,
First of all, we have some news regarding the petrol prices featured in our afternoon newsletters. This will temporarily be removed as we make some important improvements. These are necessary to fix some bugs (many of which you have raised with us), and we promise it will be worth it!
Not to worry, you can still find and access your best local petrol prices through our home page where you’ll find the ‘Fuel prices’ function on the right-hand side (see the image below).
Soon, this feature will be back in newsletters, but instead of the afternoon newsletter, you’ll find your daily petrol prices in your morning newsletter. We’ll keep you updated on this closer to the re-release date!
In the meantime, I thought I’d provide some information on how to best use this service.
Powered by PetrolSpy, this function allows you to find your lowest local petrol prices, complete with the current price and the exact petrol station to visit.
How to use
If you click ‘Change location’, a pop-up called ‘Change Petrol Postcode’ will appear (as seen below). Simply type your postcode into the popup bar and click the blue ‘save’ button. This should instantly update the information displayed.
Once you have the correct postcode entered, you can select the fuel type that your car uses. You can do this by clicking the fuel type drop down. We have multiple fuel types available to choose from including E10, Unleaded91, Diesel, PremDSL, U95, U98, LPG, TruckDSL, AdBlue, E85, Biodiesel. [Please note, these may not be available at all petrol stations.]
How does it work?
PetrolSpy Australia is a real-time map of cheap petrol prices across Australia.
Better yet, it’s made in Australia for Australia!
Having technical issues?
Please contact us via email at [email protected], and we will get back to you ASAP to assist.
That’s all from us for now, members! Happy saving!
