SDC Members React To: Kmart’s $5 ‘Erotic-Looking’ Item

Now, amongst reporting on the latest happenings in Australia and deals and discounts to look out for, we also love to spread some laughter. That was certainly the case when we discovered a strange new offering at Kmart that was turning heads and raising eyebrows across the nation. As always, our beloved SDC members had some thoughts on the product and here is a collection of some of our favourites below.
Member @Marilynne: ‘I haven't been to Kmart for a while; if I had and saw these, I would have been asked to leave for laughing way too loud.’
Member @Countryjohn said: ‘Doesn’t much look like the one I have!!!!’
Member @Veggiepatch said: ‘Somebody better give me a hand to get out the gutter.’
And some members didn’t see what all the fuss was about.
Member @Bunny21: ‘Some people have their mind in the gutter, obviously. There are loads of candles that look like those. I wouldn't have thought anything of it.’
Speaking of all things gutter-related, member @Shannon said: ‘I thought it resembled a toilet plunger.’
Member @marni sensibly added: ‘It’s all in the mind. These are old-fashioned candles in an old-fashioned candlestick. Next, they will be interpreting the fruit and vegetable aisle.’
Member @I'm Mal shared: ‘Amusing that this has been thought of as erotica. Looks more like a chess piece to me.’
To which @Veggiepatch clarified: 'A bishop.... Say no more!'
And to end, perhaps my favourite comment is from member @DLHM who said: ‘I say well done to Vanessa C for this article.
It’s a great way to start the day with a good laugh; it’s hilarious. Also goes to show what diverse minds we human beings have.

but my mind was in the gutter then I saw what it really was I laughed harder, the person who thought of the shape for this candle 
must have been a female and definitely had her mind elsewhere
