These days, rising prices are hardly surprising.
With inflation soaring and the cost of living going up and up, everyday items seem to be more and more expensive all the time.
However, that doesn't mean that bargains can't be had. There are still sometimes a few good deals out there, and right now Aussies are in luck!
Best&Less, the budget-friendly Australian clothing retailer, has just announced it has dropped prices even lower on over two million items of baby's, kids', women's, and men's clothing!
On average, prices on these items have been slashed by 19%. Wow!
Chief Merchandising Officer Linda Leonard said the reason why they were able to pull off the price drop is that they are a volume retailer with ‘longstanding relationships with local and international suppliers’.
‘We work incredibly hard to deliver outstanding value in our products and continued efficiency in our cost of doing business,’ she said.
‘We understand that babies and children grow and that replacing clothing is a cost that can’t be curbed.’
It is said that 90 per cent of Best&Less products are $20 or less, which is especially great news considering that recent data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics revealed the cost of clothing and footwear had increased by 5.7 per cent in the last year.
It was earlier reported that clothing retailers were struggling to sell their wares after record-high food prices led to decreases in spending on other consumer goods, including clothing and shoes.
Australians are expected to spend around $64 billion in the days leading up to Christmas, according to a recent poll.
Well, if the thought of kitting out your family for the season or special occasions has you worried about your budget, then you can at least take comfort in the fact you'll be able to save big when shopping with Best&Less.
In other words, this Best&Less sale is right on time, and very welcome indeed!
Speaking of things right on time, in case you’re considering clothes as gifts for the holidays, here are some handy tips:
1. Make sure the clothing you select is suitable for the recipient. Consider their age, size, personal style, and occasion.
2. Add a nice card or personal note to make the gift even more special.
3. Consider adding an accessory like a scarf or belt to go with the outfit. It will give the recipient more options for how to wear the outfit.
4. If you are selecting something for a special occasion, be sure to ask for the recipient's measurements (maybe by being in cahoots with friends or loved ones!) so that the clothing fits properly.
5. You may want to consider giving a gift certificate so that the recipient can pick out their own clothing.
