Scam email re iinet
Today a new scam email arrived purporting to be from my internet provider, iinet. It was sent to my iinet email address but did not include my name. The sender's address appeared as "Support iiNet" but the address behind that was "[email protected]". It included a copy of the iinet logo and a bogus ABN number.
The email said:
Hello,
our attempt to debit your nominated card for this month was unsuccessful due to a problem with your current payment method..
We will make additional attempts to process your renewal, but your service may be interrupted..
To avoid a delay in your service
please update your details:

Kind regards ,..
iinet Team.
Note the punctuation and spacing errors, lack of identifying information and different ways of writing iiNet/iinet.
This email is yet another scam trying to get people to click on a link asking for banking information. If you get one of these, do not respond. There is nothing wrong with your payment method, nor will your service be interrupted. It is another attempt to scare people into giving away financial information. Enjoy deleting it!
