Scam Alert: Banking Text Scam​

Hi Members!

We got a tip from member Tony V. about this scam that is currently making the rounds. Please beware and do not click the link! This is what Tony had to say:

This is a Mobile Phone Scam.
The scammers send this out of a weekend when the banks are not open .
"Bendigo. We apologise but your account has been locked. Please go to the following link to confirm your information and activate your account ."

Any message like this is always a scam.
#1 Banks generally address you by name
#2 Banks do not email to ask you to go to a link in an email.
#3. Most likely you may not have an account with the said ..Bank
NEVER CLICK ON OR GO TO THE WEBSITE MENTIONED IN THE EMAIL.....

Hope this message saves someone from fraudulent activity.
