However, those lucky enough to snag the product in the past have been raving about it on the ALDI Facebook group. One excited fan wrote, 'Love, love, love my ALDI clothes airer! It was so worth checking my local store every second day for the past week to get my hands on this baby (was delayed).'

And it's not just the practicality that's getting people excited. One commenter joked, 'You know you are getting old when you get excited over a clothes airer.' But with the convenience and affordability of ALDI's Heated Clothes Airer, who can blame them for being excited?

Key Takeaways

  • ALDI's latest release, the Heated Clothes Airer, is a game-changer for anyone struggling to dry clothes during the winter months.
  • With its energy-efficient design, impressive capacity, and affordable price of $59.99, it's a must-have for anyone looking to simplify their laundry routine.
  • However, due to limited stock and high demand, interested buyers should check with their local store before making a purchase.

If you're looking for an alternative to a heated clothes airer, or if you don't have the space for one, don't worry - there are other ways to dry your clothes without breaking the bank.

One clever tip, shared by a resourceful mum in a previous article, involves using a towel to absorb excess moisture quickly. Simply lay a large towel on the floor and place your wet clothes on top, starting at the base. Then, roll up the towel and press down on it with your knees to wring out the moisture.

After using this method, you can hang the garment on a drying rack in your living room. According to the mum, the clothes will dry faster, and you won't have to wait all night. This is a great alternative for those who don't want to spend money on a new clothes rack or in-unit dryer, or who want to be more environmentally friendly.

Another option to dry your clothes, especially if you're in a hurry, is to use a hairdryer. This technique is great for those who don't have access to a dryer or for those who are travelling and have hand-washed clothes to dry.

To do this, simply lay the wet item flat and turn the hairdryer onto the highest setting. The time it takes for the clothes to dry completely will depend on the material, but it usually only takes a few minutes.

Drying clothes during the colder months can be challenging, but with the right tools and techniques, it doesn't have to be a hassle. From ALDI's Heated Clothes Airer to the towel-wringing method, there are plenty of affordable and eco-friendly ways to get your clothes dry and ready to wear.

I have a clothes dryer but don’t use it often. I put washing on a normal clothes airer in my rumpus room, switch the ceiling fan on low for a breeze and they dry in a day, overnight for heavier items. In winter we run our ducted aircon for a couple of hours night and early morning, this dries clothes really well.

At any time of the year, I choose a day that will be sunny (or at least no rain or showers) to do my washing, and it dries outside on a line in a few hours. A light breeze is always best for faster results.
