Save hundreds on home decor with this $49 Kmart floor lamp!

Finding a stylish piece that doesn't break the bank can feel like striking gold.

That's exactly what's happening with Kmart shoppers who have discovered a new floor lamp that's not only affordable but also bears a striking resemblance to high-end versions.

The Gigi Floor Lamp from Kmart, priced at $49, is flying off the shelves, with fans dubbing it a 'dupe' of luxury items that cost more than six times the price.

The Gigi Floor Lamp, with its marble base, metal pole, and shade made from polyester and polystyrene, has been compared to a similar-looking floor lamp from Australian furniture retailer Lifely, which retails for $299.

While the Lifely lamp boasts a more intricate design and durable iron and oak materials, Kmart's version offers a sleek and stylish alternative for those on a budget.

Lifely describes its product as a floor lamp that ‘embodies many of the elements we love about the Japandi style’.

‘Marrying clean lines and natural-looking materials without sacrificing on function.’

It concluded by explaining ‘being right at home in Scandinavian-inspired abodes, minimalist interiors, as well as modern homes’.

‘Japandi’ is a portmanteau of ‘Japanese’ and ‘Scandinavian’ used to represent a design trend paying homage to ‘simplicity, natural elements, comfort, and sustainability’, according to Architectural Digest.

On the other hand, Kmart's lamp is described as ‘an elegant and classy touch to your living room or bedroom with this Gigi Floor Lamp’.

Despite the difference in price and materials, customers love Kmart’s lamp. Shoppers have taken to social media to express their delight.

'What a great find,' one customer said.

Another added, ‘Bought one last night, can’t wait to set it up.’

'I am obsessed,’ a third added.

Others described the lamp as ‘just gorgeous’, while another said, ‘You won’t regret it.’

One customer even compared the budget lamp to the Paolo & Joy Cora floor lamp, which retails for a whopping $479, calling it a 'dupe for the $500 one'.

This isn't the first time Kmart has been praised for its affordable alternatives to high-end homeware.

The budget retailer’s outdoor dining range, featuring crab and lobster designs, has been compared to the pricier In The Roundhouse range.

The Australian brand charges $29 for each dish and $50 for a single platter.

The luxury brand sells sets of its plates and cutlery for as much as $300, significantly more expensive than buying the entire set of similar items from Kmart for $24.

While the designer plates are made from new bone china and coated with a clear glaze, Kmart's versions are made from plastic, making them a more affordable option for those looking to spruce up their outdoor dining experience.

I snagged one of those Gigi lamps recently, and it's seriously a game-changer. Looks super chic without draining the wallet. I've seen it compared to those high-end lamps that cost way more, and honestly, unless you're up close, you can't tell the difference. It's perfect if you're into the Japandi style – those clean lines and minimalist vibes fit right in.
