If there's anything new parents like Sam Mac and Rebecca James can relate to, it’s those early morning starts where all you want to do is sleep in but have no choice but to get up because of work and other commitments.

The Sunrise weatherman recently decided it was best to keep quiet so as not to wake his partner or their newborn baby Margot while getting ready that same morning.



With only his phone flashlight in hand, he tip-toed around the dark bathroom, trying to find what he needed - that is, until something went very wrong!

Needless to say, Sam Mac will be extra careful while getting ready in the dark from now on… Just in case he repeats the hilarious early morning fail he recently shared on his personal Instagram account.



'I have to share this, even though it's a shocker,' he began recalling the hilarious incident. 'I've been trying to keep quiet, so I don't wake up Bec and Margot, tip-toeing, doing everything in the dark, grabbing things…'

The popular TV personality was attempting to preserve as much silence as he could to prevent Rebecca and Margot from waking up, so he kept as many lights off as he could.

However, when he attempted to retrieve what he assumed was his usual tube of toothpaste from the bathroom, he discovered that he had instead caught a different item.



While it looked exactly like any normal tube container anyone might find lying in the bathroom pantry, please note, everyone: it wasn't actual toothpaste inside… What Sam Mac grabbed that morning was actually a tube of nipple butter!

He chronicled the events in the caption of his Instagram video, writing: 'Perils of getting ready in the dark.'

'I just tried to brush my teeth with what appears to be... nipple butter!'



He can be seen holding a tube of Pure Mama nipple cream in front of the camera while letting out a deep sigh. Following the awkward mishap, the weatherman can be seen loudly spitting a glob of nipple cream into the bathroom sink before beginning to laugh uncontrollably.

Later on, though, he revealed his lustrous white teeth – proving that he had successfully found the actual toothpaste and opted to give his pearly whites an extra-intensive brushing.

'Smoothest teeth in showbiz now!' said the first-time dad.
Being a parent is an amazing – and sometimes exhausting – experience because of all the responsibilities that come with raising your little one. And if you add being an anchor for Sunrise to the mix, it can really take its toll!
