Safety Warning: Several Products Urgently Recalled from Supermarket Shelves

Everyone loves a shopping trip to their local supermarket and stocking up on what they need. But, in light of the recent product recalls from Woolworths and Coles, we better start keeping an even closer eye on the food we buy and bring home.

We want to make sure you're up-to-date with some important news about recent product recalls at the supermarket. We're sharing this information in case you have purchased any of the affected items during your weekly shopping.

If you have this body wash and it's part of the affected batch, it's time to stop using it. Credit: Product Safety Australia.

First, Coles supermarkets have issued an urgent recall of a popular body wash product over contamination fears.

Two varieties of the Beach Rd Naturals In-Shower Body Conditioner have been pulled from shelves across Australia. These products were available from February 1 to February 6, 2023, and have batch number BF601.

The two affected varieties are the Organic Rosewater with barcode number 9348918003890, and Shea & Vanilla with barcode number 9348918003883.

Product Safety Australia warns that the recalled batch is contaminated with the bacteria Pluralibacter gergoviae. They also warn that other bacteria may be introduced with further conditioner use, due to insufficient preservatives within the product.

This can cause infection or illness, especially in people with weakened immune systems. Therefore, anyone who has purchased the affected products must take immediate action.

If you have purchased either of these products, you should stop using them immediately and dispose of them or return them to the store for a full refund.

The next recall is the Nakula Plant-Based Probiotic Coconut Yoghurt Natural product, which has been sold at supermarkets across the country.

The Food Standards Australia regulatory body has stated that the recall was issued due to the presence of an undeclared allergen: milk, which could potentially trigger an allergic reaction in those who have a dairy intolerance.

The recall affects the 500g tubs of the natural yoghurt, with a best-before date of April 14, 2023, and was available for sale at Woolworths stores in QLD, VIC, NSW, SA, and WA, and Coles stores in NSW.

This means that if you've recently purchased this product from any of these supermarkets, you should check the best-before date to see if it matches the affected product.

Consumers who have a milk allergy or intolerance (or simply dietary preference) are urged not to consume the product, as it could lead to an adverse reaction. If you fall into this category, it's important to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.

For more information on the recall, consumers can reach out to the supplier Noosa Hinterland.

Last but not least is a recall of Market Value 24 Thin Beef Sausages 1.8kg, sold at Woolworths stores in Western Australia from February 22 to March 1, 2023.

The reason behind the recall is the potential presence of plastic in the product, which could cause illness or injury if consumed.

If you have purchased this product during the mentioned period, it's important not to eat it and return it to your nearest Woolworths Supermarket for a full refund.

Additionally, if you're experiencing any health concerns related to the consumption of this product, you should seek medical advice immediately.

Woolworths has issued an apology for any inconvenience caused by the recall and emphasised that they take product safety seriously. If you need more information regarding the recall, you can call the toll-free customer service number on 1800 103 515.

I agree Skeeta22. What has happened to Australian standards ? It seems like something has changed. Also seems like just about every week something is being recalled for one reason or another. 🤨🤨

The comments here are so correct.
In Australia, all imported MEAT products are banned from being imported. Has that regulation been breached? It is well-known that since the Sixties that Australia became the dumping ground for inferior products and since mad-cows disease NO Meats were to be imported. Question: Do we import canned meats?
Products like Canned Ham and other meat like Spam and similiar.
Frozen Vegetables from Asia were recalled early this century, so NOW it is sent to New Zealand and packaged there THEN imported to Australia with the label (Packaged in New Zealand from local and imported products).
Watch "Customs" on Television and see what Asians are trying to bring into Australia ..They are only the ones that get caught. How msny are cleared without an inspection? What is passing through undeclared? Enough to scare the heck out of the average Ausse.
Who eats scorpions and offal from all sorts of animal also vermin like cockroaches and rats? ... AND IT ALL HAS TO DO WITH MONEY AND MORE MONEY.
Australian Standards are being eroded and WERE so high that the only way IS DOWN.
Believe me, advertisements saying High Quality or BestValue and Quality in the world is mostly rubbish. Look at eBay and try to find an Australian Born Seller. Not Easy at all. eBay doesn't care and WILL REMOVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK from Asian sellers when requested.
We are becoming "The Pits"

In very small print so that most people cannot read it (I can because "without glasses"
I use my phone to enlarge the print. No need to take a picture just zoom in on the text like I did.)
