Royal couple William and Kate caught displaying a rare PDA moment at the backstage of a formal event
King and queen in waiting Prince William and Kate Middleton were captured displaying some rare public display of affection (PDA) backstage of the inaugural Earshot Prize — which left royal fans swooning over the couple.
The never-before-seen backstage photos, which were released three days after the inaugural event, show the couple candidly sharing a sweet moment backstage. The photos were published in black-and-white which added to the intimacy of the moment.

The series of photos, taken by royal photographer Chris Jackson, follows the royals backstage moments in three parts.
The first photo shows Wills looking back at his smiling wife as they glamorously emerge from behind the curtains. In another, a solo shot of the heir apparent looking studious and contemplative as he waits to step onto the stage.

The photos were posted on the Instagram pages of Jackson and the royal couple.
The duke and duchess captioned the photos with: “Behind the scenes at the first ever @EarthshotPrize Awards”
Royal fans gushed over the comments section of the royal couple with one writing: "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh The loveliest pair imaginable".
Another wrote: “How lovely to see genuine love and affection”.
"Absolutely Magical event, with our future King and Queen looking radiant," said a third.
And another added: "Like a scene from a fairytale".

Commenting on the photos, Good Morning Britain host Richard Madeley described Kate Middleton as “so slim” which left viewers of the show horrified over his comments on Kate’s appearance.
"Tiny, tiny waist," Madeley said to his co-host, Susanna Reid.
The obviously uncomfortable Susanna tried to sway things up by saying: "She looks absolutely terrific."
Twitter users were not having Richard's comments, with many demanding that he 'do better’.
"Oh Richard, just watching gmb, and I was horrified to hear your comments about the size of Kate's waist!" one person wrote.
Another wrote: "Whole VT about climate change… what earthshot can do for the planet… switch back to @richardm56 and all he says is about how slim Kate Middleton is. Geez do better.”
The Earshot Prize
William spearheaded the Earshot Prize earlier this year. The prize aims to fund innovative solutions for environmental change by awarding £1 million to its recipients.
Proving that it is possible to be environmentally responsible and stylish at the same time, the couple wore recycled outfits.
The prince wore a recycled dark green velvet blazer from Reiss, which he had previously worn to a charity event for Centrepoint in 2019, paired with an old turtleneck and a 20-year-old pair of trousers.
Meanwhile, Kate wore a re-styled Alexander McQueen dress which she previously wore in a BAFTA 2011 event.
Celebrities in attendance at the event also wore stylish eco-friendly outfits, including actress Emma Watson who wore a dress made from thrifted wedding gowns.
