Greetings from sunny Queensland! My name is Rob. I am a retired Registered Nurse and Ex Australian Navy and Army. I live in the beef capital, even though I dont care much for beef! I do love the quietness of living in a (large) "country" town. The fishing is fine apart from the crocs, midges and occasional floods (3 in the past 10 years)! I dont have any family lose by, the nearest being Perth, and I am single (divorced).
I have begun baking and beginning the sourdough journey. I love cooking, because I love food! I have eclectic tastes!
I look forward to sharing thoughts and ideas here.

Hello, @RobD! Oh, that's delightful. I looove sourdough! Do you have any tips up your sleeve when it comes to baking it? I really enjoy cooking too but am quite honestly not that good at it. I'm so excited to have you on board!

Oh my! I'm still learning! I was hoping to get some tips from some more seasoned bakers and baxters!
All I can come up with thus far is; feed your starter!!! I learned the hard way!

Hi Suzanne! It is a spectacular part of this beautiful country! I am 40 minutes from the coast and from there to the Great Barrier Reef! I am so glad I made the move from central Coast NSW, 15 years ago, best move I have ever made! A great place to retire to!
