These Brussels sprouts with bacon are caramelized to perfection and simply seasoned with salt and pepper.

INGREDIENTS
- ▢1 pound large brussels sprouts, washed, halved, ends cut off
- ▢6 slices thick-cut bacon, diced
- ▢2 tablespoons olive oil
- ▢½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
- ▢¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 400˚F and line a baking sheet with foil.
- Combine the Brussels sprouts, bacon, olive oil, salt, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl; toss to coat evenly.
- Spread the contents of the mixing bowl on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until tender, stirring occasionally for even cooking.
- Remove from oven and taste for salt and pepper. Adjust to taste.
- Serve immediately.

NOTES
- Pick large, bright green Brussels sprouts with tight leaves. Try to choose similar-sized sprouts for even cooking.

- Stir the Brussel sprouts and bacon once or twice while roasting.
