As it stands it doesn't make sense but if you say it aloud that 30 foxes in the field twenty ate chickens then it does . So the answer would be 30-20=10

10 foxes did not eat any chickens.

There are 30 foxes in a field and 28 chickens... How many didn't? 30 foxes but only 20 of then ate chickens, so leaves 10 foxes not eating chicken.
