Goood Morning Riddle Masters!

Here is your final riddle of the week, it's a tough one, but I think you guys can do it! A big thanks to Suzi H for sharing this tough one with us:

DUSTBOWL DAM is usually as dry as an accountancy text book. Yesterday, it contained only 10 muddy gallons of water.
But then, a big storm broke - DOUBLING the amount of water in the dam every 90 seconds. By 2.30 pm, the dam was brimming full. At what time had it been half full?

Oooooh we are excited to see how many of you manage to crack this one? As always, a spoiler button will hide yours and others' answers, so if you want to see the answers simply click the spoiler button.

Avoiding cheating with this one though, if you can ;)
2.28.30pm

Late again as usual. but have been watching tv with my lovely wife. Anyway I digress if water doubled every 90 seconds and dam was full at 2.30pm it must have been half full 90 seconds earlier. This would be 2.28&1/2 or is that 2.28.30?
