Revolutionising Android: Google reveals 7 new features to change your mobile experience

Staying connected and managing our digital lives efficiently is more important than ever, especially for those who have embraced technology as a vital part of our daily routines.

That’s why Google has unveiled seven exciting new features that promise to enhance your mobile experience in ways you might not have imagined.

So, let's dive into what these changes mean for you and how they could change the way you use your Android devices.

‘With Google Messages, you can say goodbye to the asterisk and edit messages after they’re sent,’ the technology giant said in its announcement.

‘Tap and hold a sent message to edit typos, add missing words, or clarify what you mean—up to 15 minutes after a message is sent,’

This feature may sound familiar to Apple users, as iPhone users have been enjoying a similar feature since the release of iOS 16 in 2022.

However, while Apple imposes a limit of five edits within the 15-minute timeframe, Google has not specified such restrictions.

But the innovations don't stop there. Android users will soon be able to connect their Android tablet or Chromebook to their phone's hotspot without entering a password.

For those doing multiple things or switching between devices, Google has introduced a feature that allows you to change devices in the middle of a Google Meet call simply by tapping the Cast icon.

Emoji enthusiasts will be thrilled with the 'Emoji Kitchen,' where you can mix and match emojis to create new, personalised expressions.

This fun addition lets you unleash your creativity and add a unique touch to your messages.

Google is also making it easier to control your smart home devices.

By adding the Google Home Favourites widget to your home screen, you can manage your most-used devices with just a few taps.

And for those with Wear OS smartwatches, the Google Home Favourites function extends this convenience to your wrist.

‘Unlock the doors, dim the lights, or change the temperature before you arrive home with just a tap on the wrist,’ Google said.

Lastly, the digital car key feature is expanding its reach. It will soon be accessible for certain Mercedes-Benz and Polestar vehicles.

‘You’ll be able to lock, unlock, and start your car with just your phone or securely share your digital car key with family and friends,’ Google said.

Google has remained steadfast in rolling out updates to make your digital experience smoother and intuitive.

In a previous story, Google puts AI capabilities to Gmail enabling it to understand and react to text, voice, and images while also enhancing search results and detecting scam calls. You can read more information about this update here.

More likely you don't understand how it works. What do you have to hide anyway.
Unfortunately I understand how it works too much. Doesn’t matter if I have nothing to hide. My preference !

More Crap to stuff up all my devices - should have a feature to send them a message to say "Pizz Off"
