Ingredients

  • 350g spiral pasta ( 3 1/2 cups)
  • 1 tbsp salt , for cooking pasta

PESTO

  • 2 cups (tightly packed) basil leaves
  • 1 small garlic clove , minced or 1 teaspoon jar garlic
  • 1/2 cup parmesan , finely grated
  • 1/2 tsp cooking salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 7 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

PASTA SALAD:

  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 250g (1 heaped cup) cherry tomatoes, cut in half
  • 220g/baby bocconcini , drained, cut in half. Available in fridge section of coles/ woolworths
  • 1 cup (tightly packed) baby rocket
  • 1/2 tsp cooking salt
  • Small basil leaves , optional garnish

Instructions

  • Cook pasta – Bring 3 litres of water to the boil with the salt. Cook for the pasta packet time + 1 minute. Drain in a colander, rinse under cold water. Shake off excess water well, then allow to fully cool and dry.
  • Pesto – Place all ingredients in a tall jug just large enough to fit the head of a stick blender. Blitz until pretty smooth. Not a green smoothie, we still want some visible green bits! but not chunks. Alternative use a blender
  • Toss – Place pasta in a bowl, scrape in the pesto. Add mayonnaise then toss well. Add bocconcini and tomato, toss gently just to mix . Add rocket and toss just to mix through.
  • Serve – Transfer into a serving bowl. Scatter with basil leaves, if using. Serve
As a pasta lover, this one is on my weekend to-cook list!

This woman has ripped all of her recipes (even the photos!!) straight from Nagi's Recipe Tin Easts either book or website.
I have reported her name for breached copy right.

You are all wonder people and but I don't need to cop abuse like the from the person above

Hey @Suzanne rose, there is absolutely no need to remove all of your recipes. There is no copy right on recipes, so you aren't doing anything wrong! Every one here shares a mix of their own recipes, or recipes they love to cook! So please do not feel the need to remove anything.

Even all the recipes we post here are from recipe websites we know and love like Taste.com.au or Recipe Tin Eats!

There has only ever been a few recipes we have written / shared ourselves that are recipes our team members have made from scratch or are family recipes!

I’ve been also a bit tired of so many negative things with these all.
I would like to close my account too, but don’t know how so, I just signed up for the Sunday emails.
All the best Suzanne Rose 🌹 👍🏼👍🏼

Hi @Debonair26 I am just sharing this recipe copyright explainer attached. If you give it a read, you will be able to see that in Australia, we are allowed to share recipes as it's ideas / information especially on social media / forums like the Seniors Discount Club. What would be illegal is if someone started their own website, and started copying and pasting the recipe tin eats recipe on their own website and claiming them as their own.

That is why so many members here share recipes from all different websites / books because it's just the sharing of information and ideas! No one is ever claiming that it is their own (unless they explicitly state so). @Suzanne rose has been a long time recipe sharer of ours! And it's our legal responsibility to ensure she has never done anything wrong (which she hasn't) because the people who would get into legal trouble is actually us, not Suzanne :)

So just remember this forum is a friendly place, it's a bit like Facebook where you might share a recipe, a joke, a riddle etc. but everyone knows you didn't 'invent' that joke, or riddle, or recipe, but that shouldn't stop you from sharing your information, ideas and the things you love with the rest of the community. That's what we are here for!

If you have any more issues or questions just reach out to me directly and I can answer any questions you might have in regards to the legalities of our forum!

Thanks so much,
Maddie.

This is a place where most get on and share wonderful stuff.

There are amazing people on here including the team.

I really don't know why a few people and so nasty, maybe I should feel sorry for them.
I've never said I created these recipes but I do twist them a little.
I add pictures so others know what they are cooking.

You all do a wonderful job .

As do you @Suzanne rose! I hope you continue to share all the recipes you love cooking, because I know I love reading them and I know I'm not the only one!

As I said above, if you did ever do anything wrong it would be on us, not you. This is the same as sharing a recipe on Facebook / Instagram which everyone does, this is just slightly different being a forum. But not to worry, you're doing nothing wrong! And the other member above may have just misunderstood and thought everything here was 'someones' information seeing it's all published under our names (i.e. the articles I write are published under my name, but as we all know, I have multiple other sources in which I take my information from!)

I think it just takes some getting used to :) But if anyone does have any issues or questions do not hesitate to reach out to myself or any other member of the SDC Team! We are here to help and to make sure misunderstandings like these don't occur!
