Remember these days … ?

This is typical of the days when free-lance photographers would drum up business by stopping passers-by in the streets (or, in this case, Piccadilly Arcade, Sydney), and offer to take their photo (at a price, I guess!). On this particular day (circa 1958), my Father agreed, so he and I had our picture taken, there and then. These were the days where you wouldn’t think of gong to the city, especially, wearing any less than a suit and tie, and a hat! for the men, and my Mother made sure I was well-dressed as well. Note also, in the shop window behind, evidence of lady’s fashion of the day. Isn’t it great, as we get older, to look back on happy memories.
