Reality tv.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that some reality shows have gone way too far, in exploiting people sadness, relationships, and tragedies. I confess, I have never watched MAFS, but I see enough on the news, to try to understand that people actually enjoy watching this trash, and watching people’s unhappiness unfold in front of their eyes! Then, the sexual abuse and content on these shows, is beyond belief. I’m not a prude, but I’m shocked. I also don’t understand why people sign up for these shows, maybe it’s for their 5 minutes of fame. Then, they create more of these types of shows, and people still sign up for them. The saddest thing is, this trash must rate well, or they wouldn’t make them. Who watches this garbage? The world has gone mad, to think that this is “entertainment “! Gezzabel.

Are you sure you haven't watched it.

Those who watch it like my kids know it as MAFS I know it as Married At First Sight.

I've watched it once or twice and too me it looks like an experiment.

You do know they actually aren't married!!

Maybe it's a teaching experience for certain viewers at how not to treat a partner .

I watch a lot of reality TV shows on TLC eg My big beautiful life, Little people big world, The Johnsons , Doubling down with the Dericos plus more.

The only reality TV show I hate is Big Brother

Reality is a total misnomer for these types of shows. I’ve only ever watched 1 Big Brother episode as it was deemed necessary to my role as a lecturer so I knew what students were basing their knowledge of interpersonal skills on.

I watch docudramas which drives my husband mad, but he watches war and zombie movies and docos on American politics which drive me mad.

I think there is enough variety available that people can have their choice. If there’s nothing to watch on TV I read a book, do a gigsaw, some weaving or get out a pack of cards

Totally agree with you. Firstly who would watch it and secondly what is it teaching our young ones. My Son was recently given a gig on a program put out by Paramount. Hé has had to take time from work and dedicate everything to go on this show. For what, 5 minutes of Fame. Needs to be looked into!

Reality shows, cooking shows and 10 or 20 times repeated British shows all a waste of time. There is so little on tv recently that captures my attention that I often wonder why I have a tv at all. I don't have any pay tv channels as my budget doesn't stretch to such extravagances.:(

The only "reality" show I have watched is My Kitchen Rules in its early days. Initially it was all about the cooking and the only drama was a burnt roast or a dropped dish. Then they introduced the personality clash dramas and the show went to the dogs. The other "reality" shows display enough garbage in their ads to confirm that it would be a waste of time to watch the trash. Bring back real variety entertainment shows like we had in the old days. Shows like the Paul Hogan Show and Hey Hey It's Saturday were genuinely entertaining (yes, I can hear the moans), but were infinitely more entertaining than the reality dribble.

This show is often referred to in media outlets as MAFS & no, I’ve never ever watched it and don’t know anyone who does. The advertising is more than enough. I’m lucky enough to have a few subscription services so only watch news on our local channel.

I refuse to watch these shows as the people portrayed in them are so full of themselves in fact very boring. What gets my goat is the way some of them get jobs after in the TV industry and we have to have them on our screens. This is not reality shows like Four corners,Landline,Dateline and the David Attenborough series are reality

I think they go on these shows because they hope to get jobs in media.
Don't have time for any of them. I also stopped watching cooking shows as soon as drama was introduced.

i am over looking at tits, navels slits up to the private parts. this is every sports award. It is the blokes that should be showing of their muscles. JOKE. The females have no pride and a bit of wondering goes a long way.
the shows that have warring females and sleep together the first night. down the toilet where they belong. my view is that the nosey ones are the watches and the more fights there are the better they lkie it.
give me escape to the country where i can enjoy beauty and respectful prople. any travel proograme.

These shows are anything but reality. Sad thing though, they are creating a new reality. People are learning these behaviours from the shows thinking this is how you should behave and what real life is like. Pity help us.
pity help them, they will all end up with mental problems, for that I am sure.
