Mr Shaddock embarked on a journey from La Paz in Mexico, heading for French Polynesia in April.
Not long into his journey, a storm destroyed the electronics on his catamaran, leaving him stranded.
Cut off from the modern world with only Bella for company, Shaddock tapped into foundational survival skills until being rescued from the heart of the Pacific Ocean.
Raw fish for energy and rainwater for hydration became their sustenance.
It might sound simple in theory to live off of raw fish and collected rainwater, but in practice, it's far from easy.
