Rare, newly-minted Bluey coins make their way to Australia Post

With the rise of new, limited-edition coins, collectors are looking for ways to snag these rare items.

Good news is on the horizon for coin enthusiasts as Australia's favourite animated character just made their way to Australia Post.

The new Bluey Dollarbuck collection is now available for purchase in Australia Post.

Buyers could purchase the coins individually or as a complete set.

The Bluey Dollarbuck coins are a set of $1 coins adorned with charming images of Bluey, her sister Bingo, and the rest of their fun-loving family and friends.

One in every ten coins will be a 'special-coloured' version, making this collection unique.

Australia Post customers might receive a Bluey coin in their change when shopping at participating Australia Post outlets.

The collection will be available until Sunday, 29 September, or until stocks last.

The Royal Australian Mint CEO, Leigh Gordon, shared their excitement for their collaboration with Australia Post.

'We hope that through this new Bluey program, we are cultivating the coin collector of tomorrow,' Gordon shared.

The individual Bluey coins cost $10 each, while the coin and folder sets are available for $29.

A Bluey Stamp Pack is also available, containing 12 $1.50 self-adhesive MyStamps and a large look-a-like stamp featuring Bluey and her family.

Yet, it's not just the young or the young-at-heart who showed excitement about these coins.

Entrepreneurs and savvy collectors took to online marketplaces, where complete collections and uncirculated coins are being sold for over $400.

Released last June, the Bluey Dollarbuck coins were first available at the Mint Coin Shop in Canberra and via a ballot on the Royal Australian Mint website.

For those interested in this limited-edition collection, act quickly.

The Bluey Dollarbuck coins have been a hot commodity—so much so that about $600,000 worth of these coins were stolen recently from a Sydney warehouse.

With their value already soaring in online marketplaces, they could become a treasured item for years to come.

Visit the Australia Post website or head to your local participating post office and get the chance to own a piece of Australian pop culture history.
