QUICK and HEALTHY spinach and cheese melts recipe!

For a number of different reasons, it is both convenient and cost-effective to make nutrient-dense snacks in bulk at home.

To begin, you won't have to make them as frequently, which will result in a reduction in the amount of time spent in the kitchen.

Having a healthier snack option available at all times also allows you to avoid spending money on junk food, which is especially helpful when you get peckish because you don't have to run out and buy something unhealthy.

Here in this article, an Aussie doctor shares with us her recipe for a nutrient-rich snack that you can easily make at home!

Although she typically prepares this snack as a nutritious lunch alternative for her children to eat while they are at school, we believe that people of all ages will appreciate this recipe!

Dr Preeya Alexander, a Melbourne-based GP known as the Wholesome Doctor online, recently shared the recipe for her spinach and cheese melts on her social media account.

She also said that making the melts is a very simple process, and once they are done, they can be stored in the refrigerator for a few more days, which will make getting ready in the mornings much easier.

Here are the things you will need:
  • Wilted spinach (She mentioned that almost any type of spinach could be used, including fresh, frozen, or even wilted spinach from the refrigerator. In her recipe, she used silverbeet that she had grown at home.)
  • Wholegrain wraps
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Dash of lemon juice
  • Pepper

And here's how to do it:

To begin, place a handful of spinach on one half of the wrap. Next, cover the spinach with cheddar cheese. (You can use as much as you like!)

Repeat this step based on the number of wraps that you want to make.

After that, place them in the oven for a few minutes, or until the cheese is melted and stringy.

After you have added some pepper and a healthy dash of lemon, fold the tortillas over to enclose the filling.

Cut them into bite-sized pieces, then serve and enjoy!

The Instagram post was liked by hundreds of other parents and even grandparents, many of whom mentioned that they are looking forward to preparing the snack for their families as well as for themselves.

One mum even went so far as to say that this was her personal favourite out of all her family's tried-and-true recipes.
