Ah, this snapshot of Queen Street in Brisbane in 1968 is a real blast from the past! Trams rolling by, charming old shopfronts, and a cityscape before the towering high-rises took over. Do you remember wandering these streets? Share your memories below!

Great memories as a young girl in the late 50's, living in the country and going to Brisbane to visit my grandparents. We'd catch the tram into the City or the Valley...my sisters and I were in awe with the hustle and bustle.

Great memories in the 1960's of going into the city to catch at Trolly Bus to school. Rock N Roll George driving up and down the streets in his old holden, everyone was scared of him as children but I learned later in life that he was a police informant (dont' know if this is true). Loved the old David Jones and Alan and Starks (Myers) buildings and McDonald and East where we got our uniforms from. Those were the days. Good service and lots of respest was shown.
