Queen Elizabeth II is reportedly ‘terrified’ and ‘kept awake at night’ over fears that the line of succession is in danger
Queen Elizabeth II is "terrified" that the line of succession is in danger as Prince William continues to use his helicopter to fly his family around despite Her Majesty's numerous requests for him to stop, insiders have reported.
It was reported that the 95-year-old Monarch urged the Duke of Cambridge to put a halt on flying his helicopter as a mode of transport for his family whenever they are travelling between London and their home in Norfolk.

An unwritten rule in the Royal Family suggests that heirs to the throne shouldn't fly together, just in case there is a crash and both heirs, in this case Prince William and Prince George, are killed.
"The Queen would like William to stop flying himself, particularly in bad weather, as helicopters are not the safest form of transport. It keeps the Queen awake at night and she is understandably very worried,” a source said.
Previous reports also suggested that the King in waiting needs to seek approval from Her Majesty anytime he wishes to fly with his whole family.

Insiders also said that the Queen is eager to put the health of her family first, making the "personal" decision to cancel Christmas celebrations at Sandringham and remain at Windsor — the first time she will be spending the holiday at her Berkshire residence since the death of her husband, Prince Philip, in April, with whom she spent Christmas with last year.
The decision came after a surge in coronavirus cases across the country amid the rise of the Omicron variant, forcing the Queen to change her plans from hosting her family at Sandringham in Norfolk to remaining at Windsor Castle.
It was also reported that Her Majesty will not be attending a public church service on Christmas Day.
Although it has not yet been confirmed where the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be spending Christmas, members of the Royal Family are expected to be visiting the Queen over the Christmas period.
