Queen Elizabeth II dons red lipstick as she was being driven in Sandringham

Queen Elizabeth II was pictured donning a red and gold look with bright red lipstick and her signature headscarf while being driven around Sandringham ahead of the 70th anniversary of her father King George VI's death.

The 95-year-old monarch is reportedly staying in Prince Philip's beloved Wood Farm Cottage in her Norfolk estate for the first time without her late husband, where she is expected to spend Accession Day with the Royal Family.
Sources also said that she is expected to be marking her Platinum Jubilee on February 6 — the same day as Accession Day — in private.
It should be noted that the monarch usually spends the holidays at Sandringham. But since 2020, as COVID-19 infections surged in the UK, the Queen has held muted Christmas celebrations with her family closer to home.

It was said that the Queen had made a special trip to Norfolk last month in preparation for King George VI's death anniversary.
"Everything is being put in order for the Queen's visit," a source said.
"We've been told that she will stay at Wood Farm, rather than the main house, which is nice as that always had a special place in his heart."

Wood Farm was where Prince Philip spent most of his days after retiring from public duty and before passing away at the age of 99 in April last year.
While Queen Elizabeth II has stayed in the cottage before, this will be the first time she will be staying there without her late husband.
It was also reported that Prince Philip spent time improving Wood Farm as a retirement bolt-hole, overseeing renovation projects and spending his days reading, writing, and painting.
Sources said that the Queen used to travel to the cottage (when she wasn’t on duty) to spend time with Philip, where they would normally live more like a "normal" couple than at any other time of her reign.
