QLD Home stylist shares incredible before and after photos of her home

Liz Amaya, an Aussie home stylist, recently revealed 'the magic of paint and gyprock' in shocking before and after pictures of her Queensland residence.

“Hard to believe this is the same house,” Liz wrote on Instagram. “Amazing what some paint and gyprock do!”

Before the renovation, the house felt dark and almost cave-like. Then, Liz decided to cover the 70s style exposed brick walls with plaster and painted the walls white.

The result looks like an entirely new house! It looks so much bigger, brighter, and more accommodating.

Liz shared the photos on her Instagram with more than 100,000 followers, and thousands of fans were amazed by the home transformation.

“OMG Liz, I can’t believe it! Wow, what a transformation,” said a fellow stylist, while another content creator wrote: “Oh wow, that is not the same house!”

Other followers were grateful for being able to see the ‘true’ before and after images of her home.

Some were pleased she kept some of the house’s original features, with one saying: “Pretty cool to see what it looked like. Loving those retro vibes in the old place, so cool you kept the timber ceiling.”

Liz is also known for sharing helpful cleaning hacks online, which is why some people who have followed her for quite a while were blown away by the reveal.

“This blows my mind; I’ve never seen the internal before pics before,” wrote one fan.

The mum-of-four said she would love to have oak floorboards for her next renovation but feared they would clash with the wooden ceiling.

“I think I need a white ceiling to make it work - the timber will always clash,” she said.

Liz’s home renovations were not done yet! As the backyard, and entertainment areas are still under construction.

I think Liz has done an amazing job with her home. Regarding an alteration with the floor it is personal
where wood is concerned. There is no initial ruling right or wrong. eg. I have odd grain large doors into the hall & they enhance rather than spoil the appearance. It is your home dear to do whatever you want. I am SO partial to wood of any colour/blend & enhancement. Bring on the flooring you want so badly if it makes you happy and the best of good luck in further lovely alterations/... Esma Rose.

Marvellous job...just shows what you can do with some imagination...and Money....there were some serious alterations there and being a home renovator in the past myself....I know how much just a simple change can cost....keeping taps and drains and power in the same places saves money, but then some things are then set....if you want to move any of that stuff...big $$ but worth for a whole new fresh look 👍👍👍
