Professional cleaner shares chemical-free cleaning hack that will leave your oven looking brand new

Professional cleaner Kacie from Melbourne-based company The Big Clean Co has shared how she turns a dirty oven into squeaky clean in minutes without using chemicals.

In a viral clip on the social media platform, TikTok, Kacie detailed how boiling water, white vinegar, dishwashing liquid, Bunnings scrapers, a kitchen scourer, and 'the power of steam' can help you make your appliances look brand new.

'I'm a professional cleaner and I've got a non-toxic way to clean your oven using the power of steam,' she said in the video.

'You'll need dishwashing liquid, vinegar, some scrapers, and scourers.'

Kacie stressed the importance of steam in removing tough food stains and residue at the bottom of the oven.

'Now when that charcoal is cold it is rock solid, so here's what you're going to do. Add one cup of boiling water and one cup of vinegar to a tray,' she said.

'Put it in a hot oven and let it do its thing for about 20 minutes.’

'You'll be left with this big mushy mess that scraps right off.’

After these steps, she used a scraper to show how easy it is to remove tough food buildup with this method.

In order to make the glass oven door look shiny, Kacie poured a dishwashing liquid onto it and used a scour to scrub the remaining grease.

'Don't forget to let your oven cool a little so you don't burn yourself,' Kacie said.

Further, she used a scour and a sharp blade for cleaning the oven racks over the sink — with the sharp blade being used as a scrape for tough food stains.
