Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, recently revealed the wildest night out she ever experienced - and it involved the one and only Princess Diana.
Fergie admitted on The Kelly Clarkson Show that she and Diana were once arrested!
It all started with a royally wild hen’s party back in 1986. The pair of royal troublemakers decided to dress up as police officers, which led to actual law enforcement arresting them for impersonating officers.
But that wasn’t the end of the feel-good festivities! Fergie and Diana then went to an exclusive London nightclub, where they were denied admission for pretending to be police officers.
She recalled: ‘It was extraordinary, because we went to a nightclub – of course, you go to a nightclub with the Princess of Wales.’
‘We sat down, and the waiter came up to us and said, “Excuse me, this is a members club. It’s for fun, and we don’t serve police officers here.”’
Fergie also recounted how, upon being arrested, the two of them had to hide their engagement rings in the police van - and Diana decided to help herself to a packet of 'smoky bacon-flavoured crisps'.
‘That is, until an officer in the front seat shouted at her: “You can’t do that!”’ she shared.
Fergie explained that the authorities realised they had arrested a couple of royals, Princess Diana and herself, so they were quickly let go.
Royal expert Tom Quinn recalled the evening as 'riotous', with the royal women sitting on the floor, champagne everywhere, and having a wild time.
The evening concluded with Diana and Fergie locking Prince Andrew out of Buckingham Palace, who had just returned from his buck’s party.
Fergie said she and Diana were very close throughout the years and recounted how, a day before the passing of Princess Diana, the late royal had called a friend asking how she could get in touch with Fergie.
‘In fact, the day before she died she rang a friend of mine and said, ‘Where’s that Red? I want to talk to her,’ she recounted.
The Duchess of York also admitted she doesn't miss Diana as she feels her presence with her ‘all day’.
The Duchess of York said of the late Princess of Wales: 'She and I, we laughed a lot. We got into trouble a lot.'
