Prince Harry teams up with one of Meghan’s best friends, Serena Williams, for an upcoming virtual summit

For his first public appearance of the year, Prince Harry is set to appear in the first annual Inner Work Day, organised by the professional coaching and mental health firm BetterUp, on February 3rd.

In his role as the company’s Chief Impact Officer, the Duke is set to be joined by BetterUp’s co-founder and CEO, Alexi Robichaux, and 23-time Grand Slam Champion, as well as one of Meghan’s best friends, Serena Williams, in a discussion on fuelling one’s personal and professional growth.

Prince Harry, along with Mr Robichaux and Ms Williams, will sit down in a virtual discussion about the “cultivating the power of mental fitness through a bold commitment to Inner Work”, as part of the company’s Inner Work Day, which would have thought leaders all over the world engage and interact with the audience through workshops and group sessions.

The trio’s agenda includes: “From creating companies and foundations designed to inspire others to achieve their best to tackling challenges and finding success both in and outside of work, Serena, Prince Harry and Alexi share their personal stories and unique perspectives.”

Prince Harry has been known for his humanitarian, mental wellness, and environmental work over the years. As one of the co-founders of Archewell, the Duke is focused on making systemic change across all communities through non-profit work.

In March 2021, it was revealed that the prince had taken on the role of Chief Impact Officer at BetterUp.

“I've actually discovered recently, courtesy of a chat with Adam Grant (BetterUp science board member), that a lot of the job resignations you mention aren't all bad,” he said in a Q&A last December.

“In fact, it is a sign that with self-awareness comes the need for change. Many people around the world have been stuck in jobs that didn't bring them joy, and now they're putting their mental health and happiness first. This is something to be celebrated.”

On the other hand, aside from being a tennis world champion, Serena Williams has been known to be a philanthropist, recognised for her efforts on the Yetunde Price Resource Centre, which the Williams family opened in their hometown of Compton, California.

The centre was built to provide service and assistance to victims of community and domestic violence.

Serena has also been known to be friends with Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan, for a long time now. The Duchess was regularly seen cheering for the tennis star on her tournaments, while Serena was among the A-listers invited to the couple’s royal wedding, as well as Meghan’s baby shower in 2019.

"The Duke is focused on making systemic change across all communities through non-profit work" what does that even mean? Such a fluff piece without substance, sorry James G. It's all spin for financial gain. If he was serious about contributing toward systemic change he wouldn't make himself the center of attention. Rather he would focus on those offending entities holding the rest of humanity for ransom. Bye bye, see you never. That goes for Serena at al.
