Price gouging by Woolworths

Yesterday I went into Woolworths to buy some Extra sugar free gum (64g) as it takes my mind off smokes even though I've given up many years ago the habit is still there. The gum was usually $4:50 (dear enough) but is now $5:00 or a jump of 22.5% (I think). I considered that out-&-out price gouging especially for pensioners, what do others think & have you any ideas how to get Woolies to re-consider or is it just another example of a price rip-off by the big supermarkets?
