Perhaps crushed nuts instead of coconut for those who don't like coconut??

I tried this the other day and found them a bit mushy and not enough pineapple in the mixture. It needs more pineapple and use the same amount desiccated coconut instead of shredded coconut to bind the mixture. That is just my personal taste. Otherwise it's a nice flavour. This recipe is also on the Golden Circle crushed pineapple can.

Thanks for feedback I usually use always desiccated coconut. But the recepie stated shredded. When its mushy I usually like yourself add more of the dry ingredients
I used dates at 2 stage camecout beautiful another time used figs and 3rd time used apricots. Usually Xmas and Easter I make them wit 3 different ingredients. Say 30 of each flavour. They don't last more than a day
